Username prices explained

Two handles can look almost the same and still be priced very differently. These are the factors that decide what a username is worth.

Length

Fewer characters means fewer possible combinations. That is why 3-letter handles cost far more than 4-letter ones, and 4-letter handles more than longer names.

Letters, numbers and symbols

Letters-only (L) handles are priced highest. Adding a number, a dot or an underscore makes a handle more common, so it usually costs less.

Meaning and readability

A real word, a name or a well-known abbreviation is worth more than a random combination. So is a handle that is easy to pronounce and spell.

Platform

The same name can be priced differently on Instagram, TikTok, X, Discord or Snapchat, depending on how hard short names are to find on that platform.
